The surcharge is typically set at 20% of the remittance fee for each CD, with a minimum of $2. This fee includes charges such as credit card fees.

GST is 10% of the total cost of sale (including shipping and handling).

Remittance to the artist

Due to GST legislation digisounds.com cannot begin paying an artist based in Australia until the artist has supplied digisounds.com with their A.B.N. Until the ABN has been supplied, monies earned by the artist will be held in trust. The artist will still be given periodic statements indicating the amount earned.
Once the artist has supplied their ABN digisounds.com will generate a Recipient Created Tax Invoice monthly. If any remittance is due to the artist a cheque will be forwarded to artist with a copy of the invoice. If the artist is registered for GST, 10% GST will be added to this remittance, if the artist isn’t registered for GST the cheque will be forwarded for the full amount.
